(Please excuse my metal-worker, messy-artist hands.)
New territory... Sapphires!!
I'm working on a new technique and made another silver ring, this time with sapphires.
The two-sided, organic style crown of the ring is entirely hand formed by sculpting, carving and soldering; the shank is hammered for a faceted look to reflect the stones. The entire piece is oxidized to show detail and polished to a high shine. It took me about 3.5 hours to make this one piece. Thought you might enjoy my explorations in this PMC-metalworking hybrid. 😘 These are all natural sapphires, in dark blue, aquamarine, green and yellow; 9 stones in total.
