So ECO, the next best thing would be writing on a leaf. Eco-icons! I was so excited about the sustainability of our new paper, that I had to celebrate each feature with its own illustration. :) Introducing our new ECO-Paper.
- 100% Recycled Fiber: ALL Paper and Envelopes - Paper and Envelopes Made in NY - Paper Made Carbon Neutral - Paper Made Using Wind Energy - Paper is FSC Certified - Processed Without Harmful Chlorine I am always on the lookout for more responsible paper options while staying committed to aesthetics. Our original signature eco-paper is a lovely white, with a fantastic texture but I thought it was time to add just a little bit more color with FIBER! The new paper is subtle in a light, neutral, oatmeal tone. Some of the natural fibers come from plant industry waste, and you can see little flecks in the paper. It was hard to find the perfect color, not too yellow, and not to grey; and the new color is supportive of ALL our amazing artists work. Email me: [email protected] if you want to TOUCH it for yourself. Or, watch our blog for updates on our new show room coming in MARCH! We have been working hard on big changes for FoxFern! From new eco-paper, new artists, and new spaces; our hearts are aflutter with excitement (anxiety?).
We have kept our Mission Statement in the forefront of all decisions, and while it was difficult not to cut corners, we held true to our convictions. FoxFern is built on beautiful things; art is made to share, hand crafted is made to last, nature is not ours to exploit and respect all living things, especially each other. We could not compromise on any one of those core values. Knowing this, we have come to a new chapter in our growth; a FoxFern & Co. show room and working studio. This new location will be open daily to the public, Monday thru Saturday and Sundays by appointment. Feel free to say hello, see what canvas I am working on, ogle my latest jewelry (its OK if you stare) or pick up a card (or 10). There will also be a Gallery space showcasing my paintings and area artists and makers. While this will be limited at first, I hope to support other creatives by featuring their work and introducing you to them. Please watch for updates in the near future with photos, and details about the journey. Crazy Artsy Love, <3 Fern (and Team) |
