A Ferret-Dance into the Heart

Many people can't understand ferrets, but once they ferret-dance into your life, you never want them to leave.  A ferret is like a sweet cat, that stays playful as a kitten, with the affection and loyalty of a good dog and just enough mischief to delight your inner child.  I love ferrets; I love their slinky bodies, funny antics and playful personalities.  

This ferret portrait is a custom necklace for a lovely lady in Boston, and it was an honor to work with her in memory of Boscoe.  I spent more time trying to perfect his unique little, almond-shaped, eyes, than any other part of that adorable face.

Anyone can tell, I am an animal person, in every sense of the word.  Growing up, my cats were my best friends as well as family.  One day, I met a baby ferret and my heart immediately grew, I took him home and named him Tobi, then rescued two more; Natasha and Trixi.   Tobi only lived for 6 years but he has made me smile for a lifetime.
